Clip-in extensions are the easiest way to add length and volume in just a few minutes – without glue, without a salon appointment and without any long-term commitment. If you have never used them before, this guide walks you through every step, from sectioning your hair to a clean, comfortable result and gentle removal in the evening.

Before you start: a little preparation goes a long way

Clip-ins hold best in hair that has a bit of grip. Freshly washed, very soft hair can feel too slippery, so styling on day-one or day-two hair is ideal. Brush everything through thoroughly so there are no knots, and have a tail comb, a couple of hair clips and a mirror within reach. A second hand mirror helps you check the back.

Our wefts are made from premium synthetic fibre (no human hair), so they keep their shape beautifully and need very little fuss. If you are still choosing a shade, our colour match and hair guide will help you find the right tone and length first.

Step 1: Section your hair

Sectioning is the secret to an invisible result. Use a tail comb to create a clean horizontal parting just above the nape of your neck, then clip the rest of your hair up and out of the way. Work from the bottom up, releasing one horizontal section at a time. The lower sections carry the most weight, the upper ones are mainly for blending.

How many sections do I need?

  • Bottom (nape): one wider weft for the foundation
  • Middle: one or two wefts for body and length
  • Sides: smaller two-clip wefts above the ears
  • Top: a fine weft only if you want extra volume on the crown

Step 2: Place the wefts

Open the clips on the weft. Tease the roots of your sectioned hair lightly with the comb so the clips have something to grip. Position the centre clip first, snap it shut close to the root, then secure the side clips. The weft should sit flat and feel secure when you gently tug it – but never pull on your scalp.

Release the next section down over the weft you just placed, so each row covers the clips of the one below. Repeat your way up the head. A seamless 4-piece set makes this especially quick because the wefts are pre-sized for the typical head zones.

Step 3: Blend for a seamless finish

Once every weft is in, let your own hair fall over the top and brush gently through both lengths together. If your natural hair is layered, a light curl or wave through everything will marry the textures. Our fibre tolerates gentle warm styling – always test on a small piece first and keep tools on a low setting rather than high heat.

Want just one quick piece?

If you only need a fast lift of length, a one-piece clip-in goes in with a single weft along the back of the head – perfect for beginners and busy mornings. You can always build up to a fuller look later. Browse the full clip-in collection to see every option, with lengths from roughly 35 to 65 cm and prices from 34,99 €.

Step 4: Remove them gently

Take your extensions out every evening – never sleep in them. Reverse the order you put them in: start at the top, open each clip, and ease the weft away from the root rather than yanking. Brush the wefts through, lay them flat or hang them, and store them in their pouch so they stay tangle-free for next time.

First-time tips

  • Start small. Place fewer wefts on your first try and add more as you get confident.
  • Match before you clip. Check the shade in daylight against your mid-lengths and ends.
  • Tease lightly. A tiny bit of root volume keeps clips secure all day.
  • Style after placing. Curl or straighten once everything is in for a unified finish.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Placing wefts too high. Keep them below the crown so clips never peek through.
  • Skipping the sectioning. Rushing leads to visible lines and slipping wefts.
  • Over-styling with high heat. Synthetic fibre prefers low, gentle warmth.
  • Sleeping in your clip-ins. It tangles the fibre and stresses your own hair.

With a little practice, the whole routine takes only a few minutes. Once you have the placement down, you can switch up length and volume whenever the mood strikes. Need help choosing your first set? Start with our hair guide or explore the clip-in extensions to find your perfect match.
