Frequently asked questions about Natural Black
Is 1B the same as black?
No. 1B is a natural black with a warm core, while shade 2 is the deepest dark brown. True jet black practically never occurs as a natural hair colour – which is why 1B looks more natural once it’s in.
Can I dye 1B human hair even darker?
Darker, yes – any time. Lighter, no: lightening damages the cuticle, which is what makes Remy hair Remy in the first place.
